Nicole Ito,

LISW

In-Person & Telehealth Appointments

Nicole provides telehealth & in-person appointments in Meadowlark’s North Liberty Building #1.

(She/Her/Hers)

Nicole is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW). She began her college education in psychology at the University of Northern Iowa in 2010. After moving to Iowa City the following year, she went on to complete her BA (2014) and then her Master’s degree in social work (2016) at the University of Iowa.

Nicole views therapy as a shared experience built on the grounds of trust, genuine human connection, and a nonjudgmental atmosphere. Her therapy style is flexible and responsive to each client. Nicole acknowledges that the process of therapy can feel like a large, expansive horizon, and takes care to center the discussed goals for treatment in guiding the therapeutic experience.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Mindfulness are core modalities Nicole draws from. She is open to working with children, teens, and adults experiencing mood symptoms, life transitions, relational concerns, emotional intensity, ineffective coping, and the processing of identities.

In her free time, Nicole enjoys spending time with family and friends, crafting, soaking up the sunshine, snuggling with her cats, watching a good thriller, and trying new recipes or restaurants.

At Meadowlark, we’re here for you.
