There are many issues in life, both big and small, that can impact a person and those around them. Therapy provides an opportunity to work on and through the issues one does not feel they can do alone. I understand how starting therapy may be intimidating or feel like a lot to start but I strongly believe that therapy is worthwhile and important for anyone to use to help them through life's big and small problems. I will help support, empower, and guide you into ways you can work through the issues you are struggling with. You are not alone in your struggles.
Some of my interests and passions include helping those who struggle with depression and anxiety symptoms among many other issues. I work well with all ages and can work with individuals, couples, and families. I am supportive, empathic, nonjudgmental, and a genuine person and therapist.
I enjoy utilizing a strength's based approach to my therapy where I try to help my clients feel empowered to make the choices and decisions to best help them in their respective situations and the issues they are struggling with. I try to walk beside my client when helping them rather than being ahead or behind them.
I work well with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, anger management, ADHD, Autism, divorce, domestic violence, family conflict, relationship issues, school issues, self-esteem issues, stress, suicidal ideation, as well as working with clients of all ages through individual, couple, or family therapy. I utilize treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Motivational interviewing, Solution focused therapy, strength based therapy, and culturally sensitive and emotionally focused.
